A thin layer of frost on the back of your refrigerator is nothing to worry about. If the wall is heavily covered in frost, see if one of the following will solve the problem:
  •  Check the temperature setting. Your refrigerator may have the wrong temperature setting. Find the knob with the help of your owner’s manual. Turn the knob clockwise and set the temperature. The recommended temperature is at or below 40°  for the refrigerator and about 0° degrees for the freezer.

  •  Do not open the door too often or for too long. Frost accumulates mainly as a result of interaction with the warm air entering the refrigerator. To avoid this, try not to open the door too often or leave it open for too long.

  •   Check door seals for gaps and cracks. The cold air inside the appliance should be properly isolated from the outside air. Make sure there are no gaps between the door seal and the cabinet. Any leaks between the gasket and the door should be repaired by gently pulling it away from the door with your fingers. If leaks are repeated, the gasket may need to be replaced. In this case, contact a service center.

  • Drain pipe/drain plugging/debris
Frosting occurs due to various reasons: power failure, frequent and long opening of the door, long time of refrigerator operation without defrosting. To eliminate the possibility of icing/drainage, defrost the refrigerator:
  1. Remove the food from the refrigerator;
  2. Unplug the refrigerator from the power outlet;
  3. Open the doors and leave for 24 hours;
  4. Clean your fridge out thoroughly;
  5. Plug it in;
  6. Place the food after half an hour;
  7. Check on the operation.
