A stuck motor is indicated by a noise when you try to start the dishwasher. Unplug it or turn off the main fuses. Remove the bottom panel under which the motor is located. Wear protective gloves. • Dishwasher does not fill with water

Another common problem with dishwashers is that they do not fill with water or fill too slowly and the washing process is ineffective. The first thing to check is the water supply. Perhaps the supply hose is clogged with limescale and needs to be cleaned. After turning off the dishwasher, check the float switch inside. The float is usually in the form of a small plastic cap or cylinder and is mounted on the bottom of the appliance. You should be able to move it up and down and hear a clicking sound. If the float is dirty, take it out, clean it with a brush and wash it. Clean the surrounding area before returning it to the dishwasher. Poor water pressure can also be the cause of a slow fill.
