Why is there no water in the dishwasher? There can be several reasons: from trivial and easily removable to serious ones, requiring the replacement of separate parts.
No water in the water supply
In our domestic realities, the first thing to check is the presence of water in the tap. If the water is turned off, the dishwasher won’t have any water either. You have to wait for the water to arrive.
The door is not locked.
Check whether the door is properly closed. Open and close it again until you hear a click. Otherwise, the system will not receive the door lock signal and will not give the water draw command. If repeated attempts to latch the door are unsuccessful, the door lock may need to be changed.
The water supply hose is blocked
Carefully inspect the hose from where it connects to the machine to the water supply connection. Make sure that the hose is visible, nothing is standing on it, and it is not jammed or kinked anywhere. Otherwise, if there is no water supply to the dishwasher, there will be no set either.
The dishwasher water valve is blocked
What is the position of the valve that can shut off the water supply directly to the dishwasher now? Maybe you recently changed or rinsed the inlet filter and shut off the water supply. But you forgot to turn it back on! Simply open the valve.
The Inlet filter is clogged
Speaking of filters. How long ago did you change them or at least clean them? Now a question about the inlet filter – if it’s clogged, the water starts to get in slower and slower, and then it stops getting in at all. The filter needs to be cleaned. You can find it at the connection between the hose and the body of the dishwasher.
The intake valve is broken
Defective inlet valve, aka filling valve, when you start any washing mode and open the water valve also opens and the water starts to come in. If the valve is “jammed” in the closed position, the water will not be able to get into the dishwasher. There may also be a breakdown in the electrical part of the valve. To do this, you need to remove it (access at the bottom of the back of the machine) and measure the resistance between the contacts. The norm is 500-1500 ohms, depending on the model of the machine and the valve. If there are deviations from the norm, as well as in case of mechanical failure, the valve must be replaced.
The water level sensor is broken.
A faulty water level sensor, aka the water level sensor, records the water pressure and signals when there is enough to dial. The more water, the more pressure it creates. If the water level sensor is faulty, the sensor does not take or transmit readings. Consequently, the water either overflows or does not draw at all, as in your case.
These are the main causes of no water in the dishwasher. If you are faced with this breakdown, then you don’t need to wait for a miracle, rather call an appliance repair service in San Diego County. Our professionals will have it fixed in no time.
